MEXICO ALLOWS DUAL CITIZENSHIP-Under a new law Mexican citizens can hold dual nationality, meaning as many as 5 million Mexicans living in the United States as legal residents can seek U.S. citizenship without losing their ties to Mexico (The Washington Times).

LAKE STARTS NEW BUSINESS-Former National Security Advisor Anthony Lake and former Commerce Department official David Rothkopf have formed an international security and investment risks analysis firm (The Wall Street Journal).

DEA HAS A ROUGH YEAR-A week after a retired DEA budget analyst was indicted on charges of stealing $6 million over seven years, another DEA employee pleaded guilty to conspiring with a colleague to steal almost $500,000 in electronic equipment. U.S. District Judge Leonie M. Brinkema: "DEA has had a rough year" (The Washington Post).
