UK Police Division Hacked By Pro-Palestinian Activists

Network intrusion; Unauthorized use of system administrator privileges

Hacktivists briefly took over Nottinghamshire Police's website – inserting an anti-Israel message on the homepage.

The force's site showed a black display with a creepy skull image and a message reading, "Khilafah will transform the world.”

Self-proclaimed hacker group 'AnonGhost” took credit for the defacement.

Misspelt messages underneath the image stated: "Hello United Kindoom Police. Where is the security?

"We are here to punish you since you have been supporting israel.

"Because we are the voice of Palestine and we will not remain silent. Muslims are everywhere we will enter to0 Palestine soon :) remember this :D. [sic]"

A police spokesman said: “We are aware of this and we are working on getting the site back up.”

According to the BBC, music including Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells played on a loop.

The image appeared on the website shortly before 14:30 GMT on Oct. 7 and was replaced with a blank space at about 15:15.
